Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Tonora ("the app", "we") handles. In short: your songs, videos, recordings and contacts are processed on your device and are never uploaded by us. The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase, Unity Ads and Google Play Billing, which process limited technical data as described below.
Your files
When you pick or share a song or video, Android gives Tonora access to that file. The app copies it into its private cache and trims or converts it on your device. Finished tones are saved in the app's private storage and listed in My Tones. Temporary copies are deleted automatically within a day. When you set a tone as ringtone, notification, alarm or contact ringtone, a copy is placed in your phone's Ringtones, Notifications or Alarms folder so Android can play it. Your files and file names are never sent to us or to any third party by Tonora.
Contacts
Only when you choose "Set as › Contact" Tonora asks for the Contacts permission, opens the Android contact picker and writes the ringtone field of the one contact you pick. The Caller Name screen can also read the name of a contact you pick to fill in the name. Contact names stay on your device (My Tones shows which contact a tone is set for); contact data is never uploaded, shared or used for any other purpose.
Microphone and voice
The voice recorder uses the microphone only while you record. Caller Name uses your phone's own text-to-speech engine on the device to speak the name you type. Recordings and generated speech are stored only in the app's private storage.
Data collected by third-party services
| Service | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
